Field of Works- Land Art, At Site Installations, Interventions, Bad Photography, Performance
About my work activity with Nature. I am working with nature as a subject. It is a major theme with two important emphases:
the Power of Nature- as lost, and as the source of our existence and the visualization of nature's reciprocal reaction
towards our civilization.
Through the discussion of human's conception of Nature this second emphasis is achieved,
especially by outdoor installations. It is important for me to come to an understanding of the
historical, and spiritual characteristics of a place, for works then arise that are specifically
created for this place. In this sense the production of works that will endure for a long period
of time is not so important as is the inclusion of the deterioration process into the work itself.
Keeping this idea my interest now turns to involve and irritate visitors who are not typical
art-users, I make things which are common to them but by "using" the piece an unknown
irritating aspect becomes visible. Because of the same reason I like to design works for
unexpected, undeveloped, and unlikely public places. The works could be called pieces/places
for observation and experience. I ask myself if mental and physical experiences can change the perception of the world?
