Buster Simpson, Water Glass and Water Table, 2001, Ellington Condominiums, Seattle, Washington

For this sculpture, harvested roofwater is deposited in an eight-foot-tall glass cistern, shaped like a drinking cup with a straw. After circulating through a small wetland, the cleansed water passes to a water table, which measures the rainís impact on Seattle.
