The Pickerington Ponds mural was created by 750 students, kindergarten through fourth grade, at Pickerington Elementary during the 1992-1993 school year. This permanent outdoor installation is at Pickerington Ponds Metro Park in Pickerington, Ohio. The project was funded by the Metro Parks of Columbus and Franklin County. Development of the mural was the result of a collaboration between Mary Sheridan, Pickerington Elementary art teacher Nina Borgia-Aberle, resident artist with the Ohio Arts Council, and Kim Haithcoat, landscape designer with Metro Parks of Columbus and Franklin County.
