Ann Parker is a printmaker, photographer, elementary art teacher, sometimes curator of the work of self taught artists and aspiring author who lives in Baraboo, Wisconsin. She completed Getting to Know Henry David Thoreau, a 45' x 50" linocut mural for Thoreau School in Madison, Wisconsin in 1993. She plans another mural for John Muir Elementary School in Madison for 1998.
Ann lives in a geodesic dome with her husband Willie Spoden. She avidly collects the work of self taught and folk artists, loves to travel and to eat and spends considerable time in New Orleans listening to traditional jazz. She is currently working on a book to be called Telling Tales; Folk, Art and Narratives from Wisconsin.
