E. Louis Lankford is a Professor of Art Education at The Ohio State University, where his dedication and enthusiasm have been acknowledged with an Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. He has devoted much of the last ten years to working with teachers in developing high-quality, integrated art curricula designed to meet the needs of today's complex, multicultural classrooms. He earned his Ph.D. in Art Education at Florida State University and has since contributed to his field with over forty book chapters and articles in professional journals, and numerous lectures and workshops delivered to local, regional, and national audiences. His popular course "Learning to Look at Art" has been a staple at the Columbus Museum of Art for several years, and his book Aesthetics: Issues and Inquiry has been a best seller for the National Art Education Association since its publication in 1992.
